The Architecture Club is designing and constructing animal shelters for 2 medium sized dogs. Club members put their architectural skills to use by following plans for a traditional dog house. They constructed the structure using 2x4's, plywood, and roofing shingles. Cedar shake shingles were used to . These shelters will be donated to a local organization that fosters abandoned dogs and helps to place them in loving homes. In addition, the foundation money helped us to purchase much needed tools to create both the dog houses and additional charity projects. We are currently using the tools to build an architectural bean bag toss game, based on the Taj Mahal and Roman Coliseum. These will be given to a rehabilitation center for young children suffering from behavioral issues. It is our hopes that these backyard games will provide an outlet for these children.
