It has been a long 2 years, so there was an extra level of excitement in the air as the HHHTA’s Public Relations/Membership team was back in person to welcome all members to the 2022-2023 school year! Restarting the 6 year tradition put smiles on many faces as “Hellos” were said and summer stories/photos were shared.
As everyone reconnected, members dropped off various food, toiletries and school supplies to support Long Island Cares. The LI Cares organization uses all donations to support neighborhood communities and families. As a result of the incredible generosity of our members, the HHHTA was able to fill over 4 large boxes with the donated items. Thank you to everyone who donated!
In addition to the pantry donations, members picked up their rewards which acknowledged their participation in union and district events. Our annual Count Me In program was very successful as there were 80+ happy members who received rewards, such as the HHHTA’s newest sweatshirt. It was wonderful to view the HHHTA pride as members also purchased various “Cash and Carry” items. The PR/Membership team encourages all of our members to participate in as many district and union events as possible so that our union remains strong and vibrant! We look forward to your attendance and your support of various activities as this helps us all to stay connected and feel that we are part of a dynamic union!
