The HHHTA proudly joined the American Library Association’s Banned Books Week by launching our own initiative, “I’m With The Banned.” In an effort to promote intellectual freedom and stand against censorship, we encouraged our members to take a selfie with a book that has appeared on banned or challenged book lists. These powerful images were shared on our social media pages, showcasing our collective commitment to the freedom to read.

Banned Books Week highlights the importance of unrestricted access to literature and the dangers of censorship. By participating, HHHTA members not only celebrated the right to read but also helped raise awareness about the continued challenges facing books and libraries today.

Thank you to everyone who took part in “I’m With The Banned”! Your support sends a strong message that literature—no matter how controversial—deserves to be read, discussed, and appreciated. Let’s continue to stand together for the freedom of ideas!
