The HHHTA food tour of China Town this year was awesome. We toured some "touristy" places, but got to see some hidden gems. Our tour guide was fantastic. He knew so much about the history in China Town, the good, bad, and the ugly. Along the way, we had dumplings, scallion pancakes, pork buns, lo mein, cream puffs, and sponge cake to name a few. If you're looking for the perfect golden brown baked pork bun, go to Mei Lai Wah.

The tour was sold out with 50 people! I was grateful to spend time with my friends and colleagues. My favorite place we went on the tour was a park where we saw people gambling in a card game right outside of the police precinct, yet without any money in sight! The tour was a great way to experience a part of the city that I wouldn't have been able learn about on my own otherwise. Can't wait 'till next year!
