The HHHTA Welcomes HHH’s Incoming Kindergartners

On May 10, 2017, fourteen elementary teacher volunteers worked together to assemble Welcome to Kindergarten packages for 2017-2018’s kindergarten students. This is the fourth annual meeting of elementary teachers since this initiative started in the spring of 2014.

The welcome bags contained a Welcome to Kindergarten book, a school-specific bookmark and an HHHTA school success magnet. The bags also included a welcome letter from our local’s president where Rich shared personal kindergarten experiences and welcomed incoming families to their new schools.

The Welcome to Kindergarten bags will be given to incoming students at the May/June kindergarten orientation events. We look forward to welcoming our upcoming students and are proud to create a relationship with families based on our union’s commitment to help students grow academically through early literacy.
