Welfare Trust Fund
Benefits
The H.H.H.T.A. Welfare
Trust Fund was established in 1979 to provide benefits
programs for union members. It is separate from the
Teachers’ Association and has its own charter,
administrator, trustees, financial accounts and legal
counsel. In 1996, the Trust Fund took over the
District’s Dental Program. This is the only Welfare
Trust Plan that provides benefits for district employees
who may not be H.H.H.T.A. members (administrators,
managerial personnel, confidential clericals, etc). The
other plans administered by the Trust Fund are; Life
Insurance, Excess Major Medical, and Long Term
Disability.
We are currently updating
our Teacher Benefit information card and booklets which
we will send you in January. We strongly
recommend that you update your personal information with
our office (499-4240) so that our records are accurate.
Please let us know if any of the following changes apply
to you: name – new covered family members marital
status – address and phone numbers – beneficiaries.
Notifying the School District of changes does not
change your status with the plans we administer and your
coverage could be delayed.
You will receive an
updated Dental Plan booklet in January. Please keep it
in a safe place, as a reference, for dental benefits and
coverages.
