Section 505 of Article II of the Education Law, amended by the Laws of 1982, requires an annual meeting of delegates, elected by members of the New York State Teachers’ Retirement System, be held to elect a member of the New York State Teachers’ Retirement Board. The law also designates the manner in which delegates are to be elected.
In accordance with that section of the law, Half Hollow Hills is entitled to four delegates and four alternate delegates. Each delegate will be elected for a two year term.
It has been determined that the election will be held on Wednesday, October 24, 2007.
If you are able to complete the two year term and are interested in running as a delegate or alternate to the Teachers Retirement system, please contact the Teachers’ Association office at 631-499-4240. When calling, please have your retirement number and the retirement number of your alternate available for us. An alternate must be assigned for each delegate position.
All nominees must submit their names to Cathy Rossello at the Teachers’ Association office by October 18, 2007.
