The Half Hollow Hills Teachers' Association awards on an annual basis a scholarship in the amount of $1,000 to CHILDREN OF MEMBERS OF OUR BARGAINING UNIT. The scholarship is awarded to a high school senior who will be attending a post-secondary educational institution on a full-time basis.
The following criteria will be used to select the recipient:
1. Academic achievement, as evidenced by school transcript.
2. Participation in school and/or community activities.
3. Financial need, due to extenuating circumstances.
Proposed recipients of the scholarship award will be selected by a majority vote of the Scholarship Committee.
To be considered for the scholarship, applications must be received (please mail a few days earlier) by the Teachers' Association by March 30, 2007.
