[12/20/2006] The Big Kahuna a Big Success

On Friday, October 27th 70 plus members of the H.H.H.T.A met at the Big Kahuna in Dix Hills for the Annual Fall Fest. Although there was a slight problem with the power a good time was had by all. Many of the members showed their expertise in pool playing, while others showed us how they could handle the atomic style chicken wings that were served. Many of those that attended agreed they liked the informal setting and would enjoy attending another similar event.

For spring 2007 the H.H.H.T.A is planning a “Day with the Ducks” at Citibank Park in Central Islip and another successful Annual Spring Social. If there is something you would be interested in seeing the H.H.H.T.A plan for the membership, please e-mail your suggestions to pfox@hhh.k12.ny.us. Thank you for your suggestions in advance. Have a Happy and Healthy Holiday! See you next year.

[10/29/2006] On Sunday, October 15, 2006 The American Cancer Society sponsored their annual, Making Strides Against Breast Cancer walk. The Half Hollow Hills Teachers met at Jones Beach State Park, Field 5 at 8:00 a.m. We all walked behind the HHHTA blue and gold banner. All walkers received a HHHTA tee-shirt.

If you were unable to join the walk, you can still pledge money to the cause. Donations envelopes are located in the main office of your building. All donated funds raised will go directly to breast cancer research, programs and services. We walked as a team in the fight against breast cancer – join us next year and make a difference. [7/14/2006] HHHTA Goes Quackers
Sunday, June 6th turned out to be a great day for baseball. Over 80 H.H.H.T.A. members made their way to Citibank Park to watch the Long Island Ducks. It was a pleasant day filled with friends, family and laughter. Unfortunately the Long Island Ducks and their true blue fans weren’t having as much fun. The Ducks were defeated by the Somerset Patriots, 7-3. Hopefully next year we can increase our membership’s participation and make this an annual event. By Patti Fox
